Positive End to the Season - Mon 18 Apr
The Arm played there last game of the season on Tuesday Night down at The Plymyards and put on a very good performance against 3rd place bound Saddle Club and were very unlucky not to grab a point to take them off the bottom of the table. Jon Pughs 5th goal of the season made the scores 2-1 near the end but Saddles second was one the most dubious goals this season. However a lot of confidence was gained from this game and The Arm outplayed Saddle for long periods of the game. The Arm will be continuing next season and hoping to build on the later part of this seasons form. Presentation Night has been confirmed as Sunday 30th April, Tickets are on sale at £3 per head available in the Swinging Arm with a live DJ and other events to spend your money on to keep the club afloat next season. Pre Season Training will resume on Sunday 8th May at Birkenhead Park at 11am.

Beaten by the Boy in Black - Mon 11 Apr
The Arm were beaten by Sure Starts 12th man on Sunday that young boy in black who had just turned 16 this week!!! The boy sent of 3 players for The Swinging Arm two of them within the first 15 minutes of the game. The Arm showed a quality we hadnt seen from them though on sunday and battled to take the lead with 9 men just before half time. Sure Start were awarded a very dubious penalty in the second half which the referee found very funny. The score balanced at 1-1 the Arm didn't give up however and went for the winner and Peter Sample popped up with his 5th goal of the season with an excellent solo effort beating 3 players before slotting under their keeper. The Arm carried on battling but gave away a free kick on the edge of the box which they put home to grab a second equaliser. The Arm then had their final player sent off and to be honest no one knew why not even the ref could give a response when asked. The Arm had to put with bad refereeing all through the game and finally broke when Sure Starts player broke through the defence to score the winner 5 minutes from time. The Arm play their final game of the season on Tuesday at The Plymyards against high flying Saddle Club where a point will do to take them off the bottom.

The Arm Tame Three Lions - Mon 4 Apr
The Arm picked up their long awaited first win yesterday down at The Oval winning 7-3 against 2nd from bottom Three Lions. The game was a six pointer for The Arm as a win next week against Sure Start will take them off the bottom for the first time this season. The Arm played exceptionally well throughout the game but a big shout out must go to new signing Peter Sample who had a man of the match performance pulling the strings in midfield and not only that but grabbing 3 great strikes throghout the game. The Arm were ahead 1-0 in first 5 minutes with Lions replying near the end of the first half and kept the score at 1-1 until half time with The Arm having many missed chances. The Arm took the lead again through Peter Sample's free kick for Three Lions to equalise again and Lee Owen scored a penalty to make the score 3-2 with the Lions coming back with 20 minutes to go at 3-3. Peter Sample then decided to dictate the last third of the game with two stunning goals and also playing in Dave Clynch for his first of the season. Jon Pugh was also on the scoresheet with his 4th of the season. The Arm play Sure Start next week at Birkenhead Park.

First Point for The Arm - Sun 27 Mar
The Arm performed exceptionally well today against Bushells Athletic and gained their first point of the season and maybe should have been all 3. The Arm gave a debut to new signing Peter Sample and he made an immediate impression slotting in midfield with Owen and Pugh. The Arm had more shots on goal than any game played before possibly and also had strong back line with Roberts having to make very few saves. The Arm went behind totally against the run of play with a dubious offside not given and the end result giving Bushells a 1-0 lead. The Arm came straight back at Bushells and replied with an excellent free kick by Sample which was saved by the in form Bushells keeper only for it to hit the bar and cross the line for the equaliser. Next week The Arm play Three Lions which is a six-pointer down at The Oval.
